The objective of this faculty is to impart basic and advanced training in geodetic and geophysical survey including GPS and precise control surveys and computer sciences. The faculty conducts various courses of durations ranging from one week to one year for different level of trainee officers of Survey of India, other departments and also Foreign trainees from various developing countries and private trainees . The courses offered under computer sciences are mainly oriented towards applications of geodetic and geophysical surveys and office management.
